Culture Week 2017

We are all very excited to be celebrating our Culture Week 2017 in The Mon. This year we are focusing on the theme of our sixth Green Flag ‘Our Role as Global Citizens’.

All classes are looking at different aspects of our theme including Diversity within our school, Fair Trade, Global Warming and Global Goals.

We had a good start to the week on Monday with our AfroTrad drumming workshop. We were delighted to welcome Tim and Samuel back to learn more about African and Irish drums.

All classes had the opportunity to try their hand at playing a wide range of Irish Bodhrán and African drums.

As you can see, a great day was had by all!
