The monument being built to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the Presentation Brothers in Killarney is well underway. Here we can see some of the boys giving John Crowley a hand.. The design is loosely based on the Beehive Huts and Round Towers and boys from all classes are helping in building the monument.

Travel is the fourth theme of the Green-Schools programme. As part of our Green Flag, we are taking part in WOW, Walk On Wednsday. We will meet the boys in the ESB car park on Wednesday morning 23 May 2012 at 8.50 and walk down to school from there.   Remember, the more the merrier!!!!!!!!!!

Following on from their victory in the Kerry Soccer Finals two weeks ago, the School 5aside soccer team were very unfortunate to come a cropper in the Munster Semi-Final yesterday. Congratulations to the 5th and 6th Class boys who took part in the EU themed Quiz in the library this morning.  16 teams participated and the Mon’s representatives managed to come an amazing 1st, 2nd and 3rd!!  Thanks also to Mrs Leacy for preparing the boys!!

Due to unforseen circumstances the School Choir will not be singing at the 6.15pm Mass in the Cathedral this Sat 19 May.  New date and time TBC.

Last week the school basketball team came unstuck at the final hurdle. Having played some excellent basketball throughout the competition, they were very unlucky to lose to Ballycasheen in the final. Thanks to Mr O’Suillebhán and Mrs Leacy for all their help and well done to the boys involved.
