School League 2012
Today saw the culmination of the eagerly fought Monastery School League. This year saw Barry and Thando rally their troops and battle it out in what was a keenly contested final.

A thrilling game was played out before a large crowd this Thursday 21 June 2012. Both teams contributed to an excellent final, played in a most sporting fashion. Not even the deteriorating weather could quell the skills shown by all players, blocking down, fielding, soloing and kicking.
Barry’s team took the game by the scruff of the neck in the early stages of the first half and took a good lead into half time.

On the restart, Thando’s team really came into it and brought it back to leave a goal between the sides with time running out. However, it was not to be as Barry and Co held out for a hard fought victory.

For the runners-up, all players performed brilliantly with Thando, Micahel and Danny driving them on at every opportunity. For the winners, Barry marshalled his full-back line superbly and was well supported by Brian, Jack who notched 1-3 in the opening half, Keith and man of the match, Kacper.
