The annual Colm Cooper blitz took place on Thurs 26th September and as always was a great success. Six teams took part again this year and Colm was on hand to keep an eye on proceedings.

The 4 teams that came out of the group stages to reach the semi-finals were The Mon, St Josephs, Chriost Rí and Milltown.
The Mon Boys lost to St Josephs in one semi-final and Chríost Rí lost out to Milltown after extra time in the other semi-final.

The highlight of the day was of course the final, Milltown who were playing in their first final were ready for action against St Josephs.
The match was very competitive but it was St Josephs, the form team throughout the day that emerged as champions beating Milltown by a few points in the end.

Once again, a huge thank you and well done to all the teams that participated in what was a hugely enjoyable day! A special word of thanks to the schools who travelled long distances to take part in the tournament, most notably St Brendans who came all the way from Birr, Co. Offaly.
